Night becomes chilly in hilly state

Shimla, Oct 7 (UNI) Following rain and cloudy weather, the night temperature in the hilly state dropped by two to four degrees Celsius.

Kalpa was the coldest in the state, with mercury dipping to 4.2 degree Celsius as against 6.5 degrees celsius recorded yesteraday while maximum temperature was 19.7 degrees celsius.

The minimum temperature of the capital town dropped by 3.3 degrees Celsius and recorded at 10.1 degrees. The maximum temperature of the town was 22.5 degree Celsius. In Sundar Nagar the night temperature fell by 4.3 degrees and recorded at 14.1 degrees and day temperature at 30.7 degrees.

The minimum and maximum temperatures of Bhunter were recorded at 13.4 degrees and 29 degrees. Una's night temperature was 16.3 against yesterday's 19.7 and maximum temperature was 32.2 degrees.

Solan recorded minimum at 12.5 degrees and maximum at 28.6 degree Celsius.

The met office forcast rain or thundershowers in isolated places in the State for next 24 hrs.
