MNMSI volanteers stage demo for basic amenities

Puducherry, Oct 7(UNI)The Puducherry based Manitha Neya Makkal Sevai Iyyakkam (MNMSI) volunteers led by it's President Nehru organised a human chain agitation to press their demands here today.

The volunteers circled the "Marie", the municipal building hand in hand and virtually picketed the building demanding provision of basic amenities in Orleanpet constituency.

Independent councillors also participated in the agitation.

Later, they met the Municipal Chairperson and Commissioner and submittd a memorandum of their demands.

Meanwhile, Indepedent councillor from Nainarmandapam A Sathyaraj today held a demonstration in front of the office of the Local Adminstration Department Director to protest the inordinate delay in completing the drainage works in Sudhana Nagar area.

He submitted a memorandum to the Director and called off the stir.
