Missionary Hostel warden held for rape

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 7 (UNI) The warden of Christian Missionary Hostel Children's Home was arrested on the charges of raping a minor and sexually harassing many other boys and girls of the hostel, which is situated at Naxtrawadi on Paithan road of the district.

According to the sources, the warden, identified as Jaisingh Michael (45), was nabbed yesterday.

Michael was allegedly harassing and sexually exploiting the teenagers residing in the hostel for the last many years. However, nobody dared to come forward and lodge a compliant because of a reign of terror unleashed by him.

The sources said a team of police personnel along with members of social security cell of police station and some volunteers paid a surprise visit to the hostel a couple of days ago. they found the warden was very ruthless and raped a girl studying in standard VII two years ago. Other two girls also narrated their horrible experiences.

Acting on one of the rape victim's complaint, a case has been registered against the warden with the police station. Later, he was arrested, they added.
