Kerala: Council to implement Kuttanad package
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 7: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Tuesday, Oct 7 said the government has decided to constitute a 'Kuttanad Prosperity Council' to implement Kuttanad Package by taking effective decisions in this regard.
Briefing newspersons after the weekly Cabinet meeting here, the chief minister said he would head the Council, which would also comprise the Agriculture and Water Resources Minister as its Vice chairman.
Mr Achuthanandan said the other members in the Council would be Ministers, MPs and MLAs from the area and top officials.
Besides, a coordination committee with Chief Secretary as its Chairman, would also be formulated for the effective implementation of the package, he added.
