Singularity achieves CMMI level 3

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (UNI) Singularity, a Business Process Management software vendor, today announced that it had been successfully appraised at level three under the 'Capability Maturity Model Integration' (CMMI), becoming the only company, in its market sector, to achieve this level of accreditation.

CMMI is the international 'gold standard' for process excellence in software engineering.

A press release here said the achievement was particularly notable because it included assessment of the company's in-house ASAP methodology, which is based on the latest 'Agile' techniques. The appraisal was won by Singularity's Hyderabad Software Development Centre. The processes that were assessed had been used in all of Singularity's software development centres worldwide.

''This accreditation recognises our ASAP processes as being the best in class at global level,'' Singularity Director of Process Improvement Sean Canavan said, adding, ''it is a huge achievement and a great reflection on our people in Hyderabad.'' ''We are delighted with the certification. It recognises the work and dedication to process excellence of the Hyderabad team and of the company as a whole,'' Srinivas Reddy, head of Singularity's Hyderabad subsidiary said.
