Nariender Thakur joins Congress
Shimla, Oct 6 (UNI) Former Hamirpur BJP district president Nariender Thakur, son of former BJP leader late Jagdev Chand Thakur, today joined the Congress.
Addressing the mediapersons Mr Thakur said that he was ready to fight Lok Sabha election from Hamirpur on Congress ticket if the party would select him as party candidate for the seat.
Mr Narinder Thakur was district BJP president and fought assembly election in 2003 as a rebel candidate against Ms Urmil Thakur, who is BJP MLA from Hamirpur and daughter-in-law of late Jagdev Chand Thakur.
HPCC president Kaul Singh Thakur was also present on the occasion.
