K'taka offers best package for Nano: CM

Bangalore, Oct 6 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said the State had offered the best possible package for the Tatas to relocate the company's ambitious Nano car project.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Yeddyurappa said the State had offered a best possible 'deal' in terms of allocation of land and supply of water and power.

''The location at Belur Industrial Estate near Dharwad in North Karnataka is best suited for the project, as Tatas already have two facilities to manufacture earth moving equipment and luxury buses, '' he added.

The Chief Minister said the Government had offered 1,000 acres, besides various concessions like low registration fees and uninterrupted water and power supply.

Besides Karnataka, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Jharkhand, among others, were trying to woo the auto major to relocate the Nano project in their states.
