Goa Governor extends greetings on Durga Puja

Panaji, Oct 6 (UNI) Goa Governor Dr Shivinder Singh Sidhu has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occsion of Durga Puja.

In his message, Dr Sidhu said ''Durga Puja is an important festival celebrated in our country with great enthusiasm, camaraderie and bonhomie. The celebration not only brings renewed spiritual fervour among the people, but also fosters a congenial environment for greater cultural and social integration, which, in turn, promotes national unity.'' ''May the celebrations of Durga Puja this year bring greater peace and happiness to one and all, and strenghten the prevailing social and cultural harmony in our beautiful state and the nation as a whole, the Governor added in his message.
