Former Union Minister demands constitution of commission for SCs,STs

Patna, Oct 6 (UNI) JD(U) leader Dasai Chaudhary today urged Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ensure consititution of a commission for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in the state.

Mr Choudhary, also the vice-president of state unit, said despite long pending demand in this regard, the Chief Minister had not taken steps for consitution of such commission.

"Not a single member from scheduled castes or scheduled tribes had been sent to either state legislative council or Rajya Sabha after the NDA government came to power in Bihar'', Mr Chaudhary said.
