Credit Card Scam: CBI conducts raids in MP

Seoni, MP, Oct 6 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths this morning raided at least three places in this district headquarters following a complaint of a scam involving the Satpura Regional Rural Bank's Lakhnadon branch in connection with a loan under a Kisan Credit Card Scheme.

Preliminary reports had said that eight places were raided.

Sources said that Branch Manager Ratne's residence, Mr Pushparaj Dubey's residence at Ganesh Chowk and Mr Anil Baghel's residence were raided. Ledgers in farmers' names, cheque books, fake voter's identity cards, ration cards and several other documents were seized. About Rs 4 crore were withdrawn from the branch on the basis of these fake documents.
