Anonymous letter helps to solve murder case

Kolhapur, Oct 06 (UNI) The city police today claimed to have solved a murder case with the help of an anonymous letter and arrested two brothers in this connection.

The duo was identified as Prakash Pandurang Shinde (31) and his brother Dnyandev (26), hailing from Vakre village in Karvir tehsil of the district, police said.

The accussed murdered their sister's husband Namdev Mahadev Jadhav (40) from Savarde village over Jadhav's liquor addiction and subsequent harrassment of their sister, police said.

They murdered Namdev on septermber 28 this year and threw his body in a hilly part of Panhala tehsil, revealed the anonymous letter received by the police.

Both confessed to the crime, police said, adding that they have been remanded to police custody till October 11.
