Eight die of unnatural causes in Bihar
Patna, Oct 5 (UNI) Altogether eight people, including three women and three children, were killed in separate incidents at different places in Bihar during the past 24 hours.
Police here today said four people were killed in Jamui while two others died in Lakhisarai and Darbhanga districts.
A report from Jamui, quoting police sources, said a woman, along with her two kids, jumped into the Nadi dam at Chadhara village under Jhajha police station area following some family dispute. The woman and one of her children drowned in the dam while the other child was saved by the villagers from drowning.
The report said a woman committed suicide by swallowing poison at Ketaribagh village under Khaira police station following a family dispute.
In another incident in the same village, a woman was shot dead by her co-villagers blaming her of practising witchcraft.
An official report from Lakhisarai said two people, including a security personnel of Bihar police posted in Jamui, were killed when they were hit by tractor near Sinhchack village under Chanan police station when they were returning from Lakhisarai market. Both the victims were relatives of the Union Minister of State for Water Resources Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav.
A report from Darbhanga, quoting Superintendent of Police Parvez Akhtar, said a girl child was run over by a speeding truck near Commercial Chowck in the town.
In another incident, a five-year-old boy was hit and killed by a cartwheel under the same police station area.
