Accused involved in attack on ADC absconding
Kaithal, Oct 4 (UNI) Police was still clueless about the whereabouts of an accused who attacked and injured Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Verma at Kalayat on September 23.
Superintendent of Police Sultan Singh said that police had raided possible hideouts of the accused but could not arrest him. However, he had asked the staff of Kalayat Police Station to expedite the arrest of the accused.
The ADC was attacked by the accused with an aluminium stick following alleged delay in retrieving the body of a youth who had drowned in flood waters, leading to blockade of national highway 65 near Kalayat. The ADC had got fracture in two fingers of one hand and one finger of another hand.
This incident had sent a shockwave among the officials.
