Prakash Bakshi appointed as Executive Director of NABARD
Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Chief General Manager, Prakash Bakshi has been elevated as the Executive Director of the the bank.
Mr Bakshi, a doctorate in economics, was teaching at Ravishankar University, Raipur before joining Agricultural Refinance and Development Corporation (ARDC) in 1979 and thereafter NABARD in 1982. He was a member of the team that designed and replicated the SHG-Bank Linkage Programme.
He headed the micro-credit initiatives of NABARD. He was also associated with the Vaidyanathan Committee on Cooperative Credit Structure, a bank release here today said.
