Portrait of idol of minority community destroyed

Kottayam, Oct 3 (UNI) A portrait of a saint of a minority community at a place of worship on Kumarakom road near here and a candle stand were destroyed late last night.

Believers and minority community leaders suspected that anti social elements were behind the incident.

Kottayam Superintendent of Police Mathew Policarp and other officials, V N Vasavan, MLA, Oil Palm India Chairman V B Binu, CPI District Secretary C K Sasidharan and other political leaders visited the place of worship.
