Payment of productivity linked bonus to Railway employees
New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today approved payment of productivity linked bonus equivalent to 73 days wages to the eligible non-gazetted Railway employees for 2007-08.
The Government also decided to enhance the wage ceiling from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 a month with effect from April 1, 2006 for payment of such bonus to all eligible Government employees in addition to employees of the Railways.
Accordingly, bonus for 2006-07 and 2007-08 will be calculated on the basis of the revised ceiling of Rs 3,500, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
