Man kills wife, daughters; commits suicide

Radhanpur, Oct 3 (UNI) Frustrated over his poverty, a man today fed poison to his wife and two infant daughters and later hanged himself at their house here at Masavi Road.

According to police, Ashok Thakkar gave poison to his wife Sonal (28) and two daughters -- 18-month-old Foram and one-month-old Dhruvi, this morning.

Later he hanged himself in the house, police said.

Initial inquiry has revealed that Ashok was a daily wager and the family was facing acute financial problems, which must have forced him to take the extreme step, police said.
