Hindustan Motors to sell 100 Outlanders a month,sees Sept sales do

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Hindustan Motors today said it plans to sell per month about 100 units of its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) 'Outlander', which it has unveiled for the Indian market at Rs 20.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

''After receiving a phenomenal success in North America, Japan, Australia, Canada and Western Europe, we decided to launch our high-premium SUV Outlander for the Indian market...Initially, we are targeting a sales of 80-100 Outlanders per month,'' Hindustan Motors Chairman C K Birla told reporters here.

Meanwhile, Mr Birla also said the company has witnessed a slowdown in its September sales on account of tighter financing, maintaining that its margins are also under pressure.

''We have experienced a slowdown particularly in September...

in the month, the market has been a lot tighter, retail financing has been a challenge,'' he said.
