Ex-Servicemen demands 'one rank-one pension' scheme

Kozhikode, Oct 3 (UNI) Reiterating its demand for 'one rank-one pension' scheme, the National Ex-Servicemen Co-ordination Committee (NEXCC), Kerala, today said it would be compelled to launch an agitation if the government continued to ignore their long pending demand.

Talking to newspersons here, NEXCC Preisdent A Viswanathan said the organisation was planning to mobilise ex-servicemen and their families for agitational programmmes.

Representation on behalf of the NEXCC on the issue has already been submitted to the review and ministerial committees, set up by the government to study the reported anomalies in the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations, he said.

Appreciating the efforts made by Defence Minister A K Antony to remove the amomalies in the recommendatios, he, however, regretted that the Minister was not getting full cooperation from the bureaucrats on the issue.
