Praja Rajyam ready to face elections: Leader

Kakinada, Oct 2 (UNI) Former Andhra Pradesh minister and one of the leaders of film actor Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Kotagiri Vidyuadhara Rao, today asserted that the party was well prepared to face elections to Lok Sabha and state assembly.

''If the elections are held as scheduled, the Congress will lose,'' he told newspersons here.

He alleged that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, soon after returning from New Delhi, was pulling up officials for failing to control spiralling prices of essential commodites and had given them an ultimatum to complete the various schemes by December at any cost.

He added that the present political situation was favourable to the party and party leader Chiranjivi would come out with a statement at an appropriate time.

While making it clear that there would be no screening for enrolment of members, he said only people with a clean image would be chosen to fight the elections.
