Nalgonda district leaders thank CM for providng krishna water
Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) A group of people from Nalgonda district led by Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, MLA Nalgonda, today met Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and thanked him for providing Krishna river water to the people of about 800 flourosis affected villages in Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.
Already, half the villages were getting Krishna water for drinking purpose and the people of these villages are happy and thankful for the government's initiatives.
In the remaining villages, work was pending because of extreme hike in material and labour costs and contractor's unwillingness to take up the works, the delegation said.
They have requested the chief minister to direct the officials concerned to complete the work and provide Krishna water to the remaining villages. They also thanked the chief minister for providing monthly pensions in the affected villages and requested him to depute 104 mobile medical service teams to the flourosis affected districts.
The chief minister assured the delegation members that soon pure drinking water would be provided to the remaining villages also in the Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.
