Eid celebrated amid tight security in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the conclusion of the pious month of Ramadan, was celebrated with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm throughout the state today, amid tight security arrangements in view of the recent terror strikes across the country.
Dressed in new clothes and skull caps, Muslims exchanged greetings with each other and distributed sweets. Various special prayer meetings were organised across the state.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by the security agencies and police at places of worship, to avoid any untoward incident.
