Confusion prevailed during inauguration of Praja Rajyam office

Kakinada, Oct 2 (UNI) Confusion prevailed for sometime during the inauguration of the Praja Rajyam district office here following lack of coordination between the local leaders and party observers, who were deputed from Hyderabad to make the arrangements.

Party coordinator Vidyadhara Rao had to change the schedule as the guests invited for the function failed to turn up on time.

The party flag hoisting and the office inauguration were delayed by more than an hour even as people, mostly youth, who came from nook and corner of the district in large numbers were anxiously awaiting in front of the party office braving humid weather.

Police had a tough time controlling the crowds and blocked all the four roads leading to the party office.

The scheduled time for unfurling the party flag was 0918 hrs but it was hoisted at 1030 hrs by veteran communist leader and freedom fighter Alluri Venkatramaraju while the party office was inaugurated by Gouthu Jhansi, daughter of late Gouthu Latchanna.

Local leaders were annoyed over the disrespect shown to them by the organisers. Many leaders left the venue after the inaugural session as they were not offered seats on the dias.
