B'lore: 3 HAL employees held for links with SIMI
Bangalore, Oct 2: The Bangalore and Delhi Police on Wednesday, Oct 1 took three HAL employees of Bangalore into custody. The three are suspected to have links with the Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Delhi Police that arrived Bangalore on Wednesday, Oct 1 working in tandem with the Bangalore Police arrested the three employees. The three employees were acting suspiciously after the Delhi blasts. The Delhi Police confirmed about such a behaviour and arrested the three employees.
It is reported that some important information regarding HAL was being sent to SIMI via e-mail. "The Police is investigating on their links with Delhi blasts. From past five years, special police officers have been reporting about the three HAL employees," said an officer.
"The three HAL employees have been taken into custody, but have not been arrested," said City Police Commissioner, Shankar Bidri.
