BJP nominees' list for MP to be out after ECI gives dates: CM
New Delhi, Oct 2 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would release its list of candidates for the assembly polls immediately after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced dates for the hustings.
''The BJP is fully prepared for the elections and the party will retain power in Madhya Pradesh,'' Mr Chouhan told UNI during an interview here.
Responding to a query on selection of nominees, he said, ''we are in no hurry.'' Claiming that no groupism existed in the party, Mr Chouhan added that there was proper coordination in the BJP, conditions were favourable and candidates' names would be declared soon after the ECI announced the dates.
''We do not have any 'ticket quota system' like the Congress.
Selection is done unanimously after receiving feedback from party workers,'' the Chief Minister claimed.
Madhya Pradesh is among four states -- others being Delhi, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh -- where assembly polls are slated to be held by November end.
Mr Chouhan was here to enquire about the health of Rajya Sabha Member from Madhya Pradesh Lakshminarayan Sharma, who is admitted to the Escorts Hospital here.
