2 more booked under PSA in Kashmir for participating in agitation
Srinagar, Oct 2 (UNI) Two more people, including spokesman for the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC), were detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) for their participation in the ''pro-freedom procession''.
Official sources said authorities booked HC spokesman Aiyaz Akbar and another person Showkat were booked under PSA for two years.
Akbar was arrested on August 24 and detained in a local police station, while Showkat was arrested along with senior HC leader Masarat Alam from Rambagh area when they were travelling in a three wheeler.
Masarat has already been booked under PSA.
Sources said Akbar and Showkat were today shifted to Kotbalwal and Udhampur jail respectively.
More than a dozen other separatist leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party chief Shabir Ahmad Shah and Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief Aasiya Indrabi, were also detained under PSA.
The leaders were arrested for their participation in the recent ''pro-freedom procession''.
