Videocon JV company announces pre-salt discovery in Brazil
New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Videocon Industries Ltd's Joint Venture Company with Bharat PetroResources Ltd-- VB Brazil Petroleo Limitada-- today announced a pre-salt discovery at the Wahoo prospect offshore in the Campos Basin in Brazil.
Videocon, along with Bharat PetroResources, which is owned by state-run refiner Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, holds 25 per cent interest in the offshore block, located in the Campos Basin in Brazil.
Last month, the JV company had acquired ten deepwater offshore exploration blocks for 283 million dollars.
