Vice President inaugurates exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi

New Delhi, Oct 1 : Vice President M. Hamid Ansari inaugurated an exhibition on the life of Mahatma Gandhi in photographs and quotations entitled "Mahatma Gandhi- My Life is My Message" at a function here today.

The exhibition has been organized by National Gandhi Museum at Rajghat in New Delhi and gives an overview on the life of Mahatma Gandhi in important key dates.

In his address, the Vice President said if we practice one ideal of Mahatma Gandhi daily, our next generation will be more acquainted with his teachings. It has become a tradition for years to remember Mahatma Gandhi only on two days in a year which implies that we have forgotten the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi.

He said Mahatma Gandhi had an expertise in explaining the difficult and complex issues in simple words. If we practice Gandhiji's ideals and teachings whole year like this, his soul would have been more satisfied.

The Vice President congratulated National Gandhi Museum for organizing such an informative and useful exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi and asked them to invite school children to visit to enhance their knowledge of Mahatma Gandhi.

The Chairman of National Gandhi Museum Prof. Bimal Prasad and the Director Varsha Das also addressed the occasion. Many dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
