TATA AIG starts biz opns in Noida, Ghaziabad

New Delhi, Oct 1: Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd started business operations on Wednesday, Oct 1 in Noida and Ghaziabad that will offer complete suite of general insurance products and services offered by the company. ''The opening of new offices across India is an integral part of an overall retail thrust and the company's strategy to continue to invest in reaching out to customers across multiple locations,'' a release said here.

The company has recently opened new offices in Bangalore and Chennai to support its already existing business operations in these cities. ''This strengthening of its distribution network will enable the company to cater to a wider group of customers and provide them with efficient customer service and enhanced support,'' the release said.

Commenting on the announcement, company Managing Director Gaurav Garg said, ''We believe that the general insurance industry is at the threshold of the next phase of growth where product innovation and larger distribution will act as key enablers. Strengthening our distribution network will allow us to provide customers with a wider choice of Tata AIG General products closer to their home.'' Tata AIG General Insurance is a joint venture between the Tata Group and American International Group, Inc (AIG).
