Punjab Guv and CM extend greetings on Eid

Chandigarh, Oct 1 (UNI) Punjab Governor Gen (Rtd) S F Rodrigues and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today extended warm greetings to all the Punjabis, especially the Muslim brethren, on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Eid marked culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and brought the noble instincts in people to the fore, the Governor said in his message.

Mr Badal observed that the festival evoked feelings of brotherhood, compassion and sharing in all and strengthened the pluralistic bonds of our composite society.

The leaders urged people to celebrate the festival collectively by rising above petty considerations of caste, creed and religion.
