Petroleum Ministry unveils public grievance redressal system

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora today unveiled a massive public grievance mechanism for domestic LPG, petrol and diesel customers across the country.

The redressal system, being prepared in association with the Oil Marketing PSUs (OMCs) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will be operational from tomorrow.

As part of the exercise, the three marketing companies namely IOC, BPCL and HPCL have separately provided toll free numbers for complaint registration and follow up.

The call centres are being operationalised region-wise to facilitate the customers lodge complaints in local languages.

The field officers of the OMCs have been directed to attend the complaints at the earliest.

The customers are given a registration number and those customers who wish to know about the status of the complaints could ring up the call centers on the same toll free numbers.
