Kins of boat victims to get ex-gratia in UP
Pratapgarh, Oct 1 (UNI) The district administration today said the state government has approved Rs 8.5 lakh as ex-gratia to the kins of the deceased in the recent boat accident mishap in Sai river.
Five bereaved families would recieve Rs one lakh each as financial assitance, while the kins of seven deceased minors would get Rs 50,000 each, District Magistrate Sainthiya Pandiyan said.
The cheques would be distributed soon, he informed.
As many as 12 people, including children, had died on Thursday last, after a boat ferrying them had capsized midstream in river Sai in Antu area.
