CPI-ML leader urges Centre to ban VHP, Barang Dal
Puducherry, Oct 1 (UNI) Strongly condemning the attack on minorities in different states, including Orissa and Karnataka,the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) today urged the Union government to ban the Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) and the Bajrang Dal.
In a statement here, Party Secretary S Balasubramanian urged the Centre to initiate action against Orissa Chief Minister Navin Patnaik and Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa for their failure to curb violence against minority community people in their states.
Demanding adequate compensation to those who lost their relatives and properties, Mr Balasubramanian urged the State Governments to rebuild all the churches and houses damaged in the violent incidents.
A public meeting to condemn the attacks would be held here on October three, he said.
