Sister Nirmala prays for Swami Lakshmananda, appeals for peace
Kolkata, Sep 30 (UNI) Sister Nirmala, Superior General of Missionaries of Charity, today called for peace and brotherhood among different faiths in view of growing intolerance between different believers.
In a statement, she also appealed for prayer for the repose of the souls of Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati, his four associates and all others, who lost their lives in recent violence.
'' We are brothers and sisters of one another no matter what our religon, race, culture or language is, whether we are rich or poor.
Nothing should separate us,'' she said.
'' Religion is meant to be a work of love. It is not meant to destory peace and unity. Works of love are works of peace. Let us use religion to become one heart full of love in the heart of god, '' Sister Nirmala said.
