Four miscreants arrested in Palamu

Daltonganj, Sep 30 (UNI) Police today arrested four miscreants, including members of a motorbike lifting gang, from separate police station areas in Palamu district.

Superintendent of Police Deepak Verma said two motorcycle borne criminals were nabbed from Patharchatti locality under Sadar police station area.

''They were planning to snatch a sum of Rs 4 lakhs being brought to deposit in the Betla branch of Punjab National Bank,'' Mr Verma said.

He added that a nine mm pistol, a countrymade rifle and three mobile phones were recovered from them.

In another incident, two members of a motorcycle lifting gang were also arrested from Shahpur locality under Chainpur police station area, he added.
