Seminar on 'Doing business with Australia' organised
Visakhapatnam, Sep 29 (UNI) The Australian Counsul General for South India and Trade Commissioner Aminur Rahman today said India was one of those export markets to which Australia provide value-added competitive solutions and expertise both in traditional and emerging sectors.
Inaugurating a seminar on 'Doing business with Australia' organised by CII here he said Australian technology expertise and solutions are on offer for Indian business in the areas of resources, mining, energy, infrastructure, building and construction, food and beverge, agri-business, ICT, film, media and entertainment, retail and financial services.
Australian investment in India was more than four billion dollars he said and urged the Indian Corporate leaders to identify potential Australian business partners and strategic location in the eastern coast of India.
Visakhapatnam has always been a significant business destination he said and pointed out that the infrastrucutre and tourism projects were important to trigger city's growth and development and Australia had significant expertise to offer in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, K V Bhaskar, Vice chairman, CII Vizag Zone said CII was looking forward to work closely with Australia in realising the potentiality that exists in trade and investments and strategic parternships in areas like mines, minerals, healthcare, reaserch and development and renewable energy resources for the benefit of both the parties.
