Bomb found at Imphal, seven militants nabbed

Imphal, Sep 29 (UNI) A bomb was found at a residential area at Singjamei, here today.

Police said the bomb was removed by the bomb squad and safely detonated.

Meanwhile Imphal East and Thoubal police together nabbed seven militants in separate incidents.

The Thoubal Police nabbed a cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party KCP today.

Imphal East Superintendent of Police Th Radheshyam today said police launched an operation on Saturday last and continued it till this morning. During the operation six militants were nabbed.

He said a woman cadre of KCP was also nabbed from Imphal East on September 27. The same team nabbed two cadres of People's Liberation Army (PLA) later.

The Imphal East police continuing the drive also nabbed a Kuki Revolutionary Army cadre.

Continuing the operation, the Imphal East police yesterday nabbed a cadre of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K). The SP said the team further nabbed a cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party.
