Youth's view to be incorporated in election manifesto : Raman Singh
Raipur, Sep 28 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh is contemplating to incorporate the youth's view for an all round development of the state in the upcoming Assembly elections, slated to be held by the end of this year.
''The state BJP will collect views from the youth in a convention titled 'Vision-2000' to be held in the four commissionaries --Bilaspur, Raipur, Sarguja and Bastar--to be incorporated in the manifesto after deliberation. This convention will be non-political and organised by the a non-government organisation,'' Chief Minister Raman Singh told UNI.
Dr Singh said youth's view would be given priority in nation building.
''Those days have gone when the youths were used as voters but their opinions were not obtained for the state's development.'' He claimed that Chhattisgarh would be perhaps the first state in the country to incorporate youth's opinions in the manifesto.
Dr Singh said he got an opportunity to know the idea of youths about development of the young generation in the first programme held in Bilaspur last week.
''A real plan for development will not be materialized by overlooking the views of the students of university, engineering, medical and management,''he said.
The Chief Minster said instructions were conveyed to the manifesto committee that apart from collecting views from the conventions, suggestions should be sought separately from the youth in this regard.
Dr Singh said a particular attention to the youth's view was being given as it was imperative to know how to develop the required manpower in view of large scale investment in this mineral-rich state.
