TDP Committee to submit report to Naidu on deliberations
Hyderabad, Sep 28 (UNI) The five-member core committee of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which began yesterday to elicit the views of the state commitee leaders on the party's stand on Telangana would submit its report to the Party President N Chandrababu Naidu after their final discussions with the party leaders tomorrow.
The core committee held discussions with 30 to 40 state commitee leaders today, as they had already elicited the views of some of the state commitee leaders yesterday. The committee would discuss the issue with the remaining leaders and submit the report to the party high command for its final decision.
The politbureau of the party would discusss on the report submitted by the core commitee and take a decision on Telangana.
According to sources, a section of the party leadeship was understood to have thrown up the suggestions that the party should not only make itself pro-telangana, but also launch an agitation to achieve it. The party has succeeded in convincing the district leaders, MPs MLAs and MLCs of the Andhra and Rayalaseema region that a pro-telangana stand would not affect the paty poll prosepcts in these regions.
The Core Commiteee comprises Chairman K Yerran Naidu would continue their deliberations with the state commitee leaders tomorrow and submits its report to the party high command .
