Congress lauds Bush's untiring efforts for nuke deal
New delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Upbeat over the passage of the Indo-US Nuclear deal by the US House of Representatives, the Congress today said the event was "the highest feat of diplomacy chiselled and sculptured by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh" and thanked US President George Bush for his ''untiring efforts".
"Proud India presents itself to the entire world with victory after victory from the day the Memorandum of Understanding on 123 agreement in the year 2005 to the Trust Vote in Parliament on July 22 this year, clearance from the IAEA, endorsement from 45 nation Nuclear Suppliers Group and now passed by the US House of Representatives,"AICC Media Department Chairman Veerappa Moily said in a statement here.
"The great surge is now poised ultimately to have the approval of the US Senate and also the final signing of the Nuclear Agreement between India and the United States, " he said.
Mr Moily said this was the highest feat of diplomacy chiselled and sculptured by great statesman Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, guided and inspired by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Mr
Moily
said,
adding
"the
nation
and
its
youth
are
ever
grateful
to
Dr
Singh
and
Ms
Gandhi
for
the
'greatest
achievement

of
the
nation."
Congratulating
the
'dedicated' team
of
diplomats
and
nuclear
scientists
on
the
achievement,
he
said,
"Nation
is
also
grateful
to
US
President
George
Bush
who
made
it
possible
to
happen
due
to
his
untiring
efforts."
