Vice-President condemns Mehrauli blast, appeals for peace
New Delhi, Sept 27 (UNI) Vice-President Hamid Ansari today condemned the blast that took place in the afternoon at a flower market in Mehrauli area of the capital.
In a statement here, the Vice-President expressed deep anguish that the blast had caused loss of life and left innocent people, especially children, injured.
''Such mindless and reprehensible acts of violence are intended to disturb peace and impede our national progress,'' he said.
Mr Ansari appealed to all sections of the society to maintain calm and expressed his sympathy for the families of those killed and injured.
