Minister launches Passport Mela in Kakinada
Kakinada, Sep 27: Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallamraju on Saturday, Sep 27 launched the two-day Passport Mela at the JNTU college of engineering premises here.
He said the Mela would be of great help to the people of the district intending to go abroad either for education, employment and other purposes, relieving them of the ordeal of visiting passport offices at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
Mr Pallamraju said the applications would be scrutinised and sent to Visakhapatnam Regional Passport office after police verification and the applicants would receive the passports within a fortnight.
The Minister lauded Union External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for extending necessary help in organising the Mela here.
