Jharkhand invites Tata Motors to set up Nano plant
Jamshepur, Sep 27 (UNI) Amid the ongoing speculations about the Tata Motors plan to shift its Nano project from Singur in West Bengal, the Jharkhand government today invited the automobile gaint to set up its Rs one lakh car plant in the state.
Addressing a meeting of inustrialists at a trade fair here, Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren said, ''I invite Tata Motors to come to Jharkhand and set up the Nano project here. The state government will provide land and all other requirements. Another Tata Group company Tata Steel is already in the state for more than a hundred years. They have become Jharkhandi (natives of Jharkhand).'' Mr Soren said his government was determined to provide all possible help to industrialists for the development of the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto, who is incharge of the Industry department, was also present on the occasion.
