Gujarat government sends second relief train for Bihar flood victims
Patna, Sep 27 (UNI) Relief materials for the flood ravaged people of north Bihar were still pouring in large number from across the country even as the overall situation has improved quite considerably.
Official sources here today informed that a special relief train, comprising 46 bogies, arrived here today from Gujarat enroute to different flood affected north Bihar districts.
BJP's Gujarat unit vice-president Kaushik Bhai Patel, who arrived here with the train, said new clothes, utensils, medicines and several other household items in about 1.3 lakh packets had been brought for the flood hit people of Bihar.
He said earlier this month another special relief train from Gujarat had carried some 70,000 similar packets for the state.
These apart, the Gujarat government had sent 15 ambulances, a team of doctors and ten tonnes of chemicals and fertilisers to the flood battered region.
