CPI(M) leader C P Balan Vaidyar passes away

Kozhikode, Sep 27 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) Control Commission Chairman and former Legislator C P Balan Vaidyar died of heart attack here early this morning.

He was 72 and is survived by two sons.

Balan Vaidyar, who had represented Kunnamangalam constituency in the state Assembly thrice, was also the Joint Secretary of the pro-CPI(M) Kerala Karshaka Sangham.

His funeral would be held at his residential complex at Chalannur in the district in the evening, party sources said.
