Dalit youth commits suicide in UP

Etawah, Sep 26 (UNI) A Dalit youth allegedly committed suicide, following atrocities by a BSP MLA in Bharthana area here late last night, police said today.

The deceased, identified as Sudhar Singh of Ikdil area, has left behind a suicide note and held responsible the MLA from Lakhna seat for his extreme step, police said.

The letter stated ''I (a Dalit) have been deprived of justice under the present Ms Mayawati's rule.'' I was given a land on lease by the gram panchayat, but the MLA was wanted a marriage hall on the spot.
