Gurdwara Manager, 9 others, booked for illegal construction

Fatehgarh Sahib, Sep 25 (UNI) Ten people, including a suspended Manager of Gurdwara Kukkar Majra in Mandi Gobindgarh, have been booked by police for illegal construction on SGPC land.

The case was registered on the statement of Gurjit Singh, newly appointed Manager of the Gurdwara under section 420, 408 of the IPC against Harbans Singh and others.

Sources said these people took the land from the Gurdwara managing committee for lease but did illegal construction on it with the alleged connivance of the suspended manager Harbans Singh without getting approval from SGPC.
