Arvind Mills launches Cherokee in India

Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) Arvind Mills Limited, country's largest apparel brand manufacturer and retailer, today launched the popular family lifestyle brand 'Cherokee' in India.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Company chief executive officer (Brands &Retail) J Suresh said, ''We are very excited to have the opportunity to license the Cherokee brand for India and we are confident that Cherokee will soon be one of the largest family lifestyle brands across India.'' Cherokee Incorporation's executive vice-president and managing director (Business Development) Larry Sass said Cherokee will be exclusively available at Megamart, which has a network of 110 stores spread across 42 cities in the country.

Cherokee has aimed to achieve business target at Rs 2,000 crore by 2012 with Megamart. Brands that Cherokee Inc own and represent, generate over USD four billion in annual retail sales worldwide, Mr Sass said.
