30 schoolchildren drown in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow, Sept 25 : At least 30 schoolchildren were feared to have drowned after the boat they were travelling in capsized today in Uttar Pradesh's, Sair river in Pratapgarh District.
District Police Superintendent H.O. Sharma said, "The incident occurred near the Teerupur ghat when the boat ferrying 40 schoolchildren overturned."
"We have managed to take out 10 students and the relief operations are underway," Sharma added.
