SEZ Spl Dy Collector, 4 others in ACB net for bribe

Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) The ACB today arrested Chittoor District SEZ Special Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition) and four others for accepting a bribe of Rs four lakh.

The money was demanded for sanctioning compensation for lands of complainant and others of Chervi Village to the extent of 7.35 acre, which the government had acquired for Special Economic Zone.

Special Deputy Collector G Sainath, Satyavedi Mandal Tahsildar Gangineni Krishna Murthy and Deputy Tahsildar Atla Purushotam accepted a bribe of Rs one lakh each while Revenue Inspector of the unit Peddiraju Madhusudan Rao and Village Revenue Officer Vadivelu Vijayakumar received Rs 50,000 each from the complainant.

The amount was recovered from all the accused who would be produced before Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad, a press release here said.
